The why…
Before YOU Backpack is a travel-zine site made BY backpackers – FOR backpackers. We hope to offer travel tips, insights and advice to anyone and everyone who wants to go backpacking around Asia. The information on this site is designed to help the reader explore and understand the finer points of being a vagabond, we pull together with some of the greatest backpackers around to bring their experiences and knowledge to our readers… In the hope that they can leave here a little better prepared for the big wide wide world.
By no means have we “been there – done that” that’s not what this site’s about. We like to think of ourselves more as the slightly eccentric guy you’ll definitely meet in some faraway beach bar, who takes you under his wing and convinces you to step out of your comfort zone… Who drags you along on a crazy bus ride and shows you exactly what backpacking is all about… Seeing it, living it and telling the tale.
The who…
The editor of BeforeYOUBackpack.com is Aaron Bradford, a twenty something traveler who has made backpacking his lifestyle. He IS that old bum in the bamboo beach bar… Together with the help of his Mrs – Georgie, they carve a path from one place to another and try their best to share what they learn with those who want to know. What makes BeforeYOUBackpack.com so special though is the community of travelers, backpackers and free spirits who contribute – a select few Vagabond’s who’s insights literally mean the world to us.

It is no trick to go round the world these days, you can pay a lot of money and fly round it non-stop in less than forty-eight hours, but to know it, to smell it and feel it between your toes you have to crawl. There is no other way. Not flying, not floating. You have to stay on the ground and swallow the bugs as you go. Then the world is immense.
